Your player profile
Every player CerebRUST has seen gets a public profile page, reachable from the Players directory or from any player’s name in the dashboard.
What is on it
Section titled “What is on it”- Your current display name, avatar and Steam ID, with a link out to your Steam profile
- Whether you are online right now
- When you were first and last seen
- How many sessions you have played, and across how many servers
- A per-server history of where you have played
- Gameplay stats — kills, deaths, K/D, playtime, your longest shot and your most-used weapon, plus where you placed on each server’s current wipe
- Name history — the display names you have used over time
- Steam’s own ban flags: VAC, game and community bans
Gameplay stats, and which servers count
Section titled “Gameplay stats, and which servers count”The stats come from each server’s leaderboard, compiled hourly. Only servers that publish a public leaderboard are counted. If an owner has set theirs to logged-in-only or to players-of-this-wipe, nothing from that server appears on your public profile — the profile is not a way around their setting.
You are told when that happens: the section ends with a line saying how many of your servers keep their leaderboard private. It is a count, never a name.
Two things about the placements:
- A rank always comes with the number of players it is out of. 3rd of 46 and 3rd of 4 are not the same thing, and we would rather say which one it is.
- “Not compiled yet” is not last place. A wipe whose leaderboard has not been built yet has no rank at all, and says so.
If a server has never compiled a leaderboard — or you have not played on one with a public leaderboard — the whole section is simply absent rather than showing a row of dashes.
Why name history exists
Section titled “Why name history exists”Because renaming yourself after behaving badly is the oldest trick in Rust, and server admins asked for it. Your Steam ID never changes; the name attached to it does. The history makes that visible.
If that is unwelcome, the honest answer is that it is working as intended — it exists precisely so that a name change does not reset your reputation on a server.
What is not public
Section titled “What is not public”Your profile does not expose:
- Your position, base locations or tool cupboards
- Your chat messages
- Your IP address
- Your Discord account
- Gameplay stats from a server that does not publish a public leaderboard (the fact that you played there is still shown in your server history — it is the kills, deaths, playtime and placements that are withheld)
Some of that is visible to the staff of a server you play on, through their admin dashboard — see What is CerebRUST? for who sees what. None of it is on your public profile.
Ban flags
Section titled “Ban flags”The VAC, game and community ban indicators come from Steam, not from CerebRUST, and are shown as Steam reports them. They are not a judgement made by any server, and nothing about a CerebRUST-managed ban appears there — that is per-server and lives in that server’s own ban list.
